Jedediah Bila Departs The View

By Christine Zosche

Jedediah Bila announced Monday morning she is leaving The View. “This has just been an amazing journey and I appreciate all of you. I want to thank the viewers, even the ones that write me hate tweets,” she said on-air. (TVNewser)

She joined the program last year to serve as a conservative voice. Bila did not give a specific reason for her departure, and a network spokesperson did not provide one either. Bila, a former Fox News contributor, mentioned she’s been working “insanely” hard on a book for HarperCollins that comes out next year, suggesting that might have contributed to her decision to leave. Meanwhile, Meghan McCain is in talks to join The View, three people familiar with the matter said. A deal to bring McCain on at The View has not yet been completed, the people said, but is in late stages. (CNN)

McCain, a columnist, author and blogger, announced late last week she was leaving Fox News Channel, where she had served as a co-host on Outnumbered and as a contributor. Her decision to leave FNC came not long after her father was diagnosed with glioblastoma, which he described as an aggressive brain cancer. (Deadline)
