Fox Orders Live Courtroom Reality Show—with A Familiar Title

By Christine Zosche

Fox is making its next big reality swing—and it seems slightly familiar. The network has handed out a series order to You The Jury, an unscripted show featuring legal cases being tried in front of a live TV audience. (THR / Live Feed)

Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro will host the reality show, which premieres Friday, April 7 at 9/8c on Fox. She’ll be joined by six attorneys: Jose Baez, Benjamin Crump, Joseph Tacopina, Areva Martin, Mike Cavalluzzi and Charla Aldous. Former judge of the Superior Court of California LaDoris Cordell will preside over the whole thing. (The Wrap)

Each week, the show’s prosecution and defense will question and cross-examine the litigants and expert witnesses, as they present their arguments. Viewers will have the opportunity to vote for approximately five minutes, via text and the Fox Now App, after the case has been presented. At the end of the East/Central time zone broadcast, “America’s Verdict” will be revealed. (Variety)
