Fox News Taps Horizon Media’s Marianne Gambelli as New Ad Sales Chief

By Christine Zosche

One of 21st Century Fox’s two ad sales chief vacancies has been filled. Fox News has picked Marianne Gambelli, Horizon Media’s chief investment officer, to replace Paul Rittenberg, who announced last February he would be stepping down after more than two decades on the job. (Adweek)

Gambelli, who starts May 22, joined Horizon Media in 2012 from NBCUniversal, where she spent 22 years, most recently as president of sales and marketing. (TVNewser)

In her position, Gambelli will oversee ad sales for both Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. (THR)

Gambelli is the second major new hire the company has made in recent weeks. Last month, Amy Listerman was tapped as chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and accounting for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. That both Gambelli and Listerman are outsiders and female is seen by some at Fox News as an indication the network and 21st Century Fox want to bring a new culture to the unit, a person familiar with the matter said.
