FBN President Brian Jones to Depart, Replaced by Fox’s Lauren Petterson

Fox News morning programming and talent development chief Lauren Petterson has been named the new president of Fox Business Network, taking over for Brian Jones, who is departing the network for unspecified reasons. (TVNewser)

The network announced that Petterson will continue in her role overseeing talent development at Fox News. (THR)

Petterson has essentially been the supervisor of one of the network’s top shows, Fox & Friends, for more than a decade. She had an earlier stint at Fox News in 2007, as a senior producer at Fox & Friends, then left to work at New York’s WCBS for a year. (Variety)

Jones is departing after 20 years at Fox Business and Fox News. He was at the helm of the launch team when Fox Business debuted in 2007. He also directed the first two presidential primary debates in the channel’s history in the 2016 cycle. (Deadline)
