Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter Pause Responding to Hong Kong Authorities’ Requests for User Data

Facebook reacted to China’s imposition of a national security law in Hong Kong last week by revealing Monday that requests for Facebook and WhatsApp user data from law enforcement agents in the special administrative region were suspended. (Adweek)

Twitter has also stopped responding to data requests from Hong Kong law enforcement as they evaluate the law. (Mashable)
