Fox News and Eric Bolling have parted ways following an investigation into a sexual harassment claim against him. “We thank Eric for his 10 years of service to our loyal viewers and wish him the best of luck,” the network said in a statement. (TVNewser)

Fox News confirmed it canceled The Specialists, the show Bolling co-hosted about a month after a report that he had sent lewd photographs to three female colleagues via text message. The article, published in HuffPost, cited a dozen unidentified people who said Bolling had “sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News.” (NYT)

Hours after the announcement, Bolling‘s son was found dead. Eric Chase Bolling, 19, was a college student in Colorado. “Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated,” Bolling tweeted Saturday afternoon. (TVNewser)

Bolling also wrote: “Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point. Autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.” “The matter is currently under investigation,” an officer with the Boulder Police Department stated. No details are being released at this time. “We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son. Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family,” Fox News said in a statement. (THR)
