Disney Will Bundle Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99

Disney’s first streaming bundle of multiple OTT services is coming down the pike, and it’ll cost the same as a standard Netflix subscription. (Adweek)

Disney will offer a streaming bundle of Disney+, ESPN+ and the advertising-supported version of Hulu for $12.99 a month. The bundle of Disney direct-to-consumer properties will be available for purchase on Nov. 12, the day that the ambitious Disney+ service is set to bow in the U.S. (Variety)

The bundle will offer a $5 discount from the cost of subscribing to the platforms individually. It also adds a live sports element to a bundle package, which will enable cord-shavers and others re-examining their pay-TV docket one more option. (Deadline)

Disney reported a steeper earnings decline than Wall Street expected on Tuesday as the company poured money into its ambitious plunge into streaming media and began folding in assets purchased from Twenty-First Century Fox. (Reuters)

The company also said it expects direct-to-consumer losses to rise to $900 million in the fiscal fourth quarter, as it continues to invest in content for Disney+. The stock fell 3.7 percent in after-hours trading. (CNBC)
