Christiane Amanpour Makes PBS Late Night Role Permanent

PBS will launch Amanpour & Company this summer as the permanent replacement for Charlie Rose, which was canceled last November in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against Rose. (TVNewser)

Amanpour & Company will feature interviews with global leaders, and will replace the current simulcast of Amanpour, CNN International’s flagship program, which has been running as an interim replacement on PBS stations since December. (THR)

Amanpour has been on CNN International since 2012. The expanded edition will continue to be shown on CNNI, which is primarily available outside the United States. The changes will take effect in July. (CNN)

Amanpour will continue in her job as CNN’s chief international correspondent. She will continue to be based in London and will be joined by four other contributors. (HuffPost)
