Licht also said that Johnita Due will become executive vp integrity and inclusion, overseeing diversity and inclusion efforts, as well as standards and practices. The channel is also continuing to look for a new chief digital officer, with Licht telling staff that there is a “nationwide search underway.” (THR)

Three months after taking the reins of a Zucker-less CNN, Licht is appointing a “head of editorial” to effectively function as the newsroom’s new Zucker, or the closest thing to him—and allowing himself to focus on the bigger-picture questions. Such as: who will helm CNN’s new morning show? (Puck)
