Box Office: The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard Takes Top Spot from A Quiet Place Part II

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard nabbed the top spot on box office charts, debuting with $11.6 million from 3,331 U.S. venues over the weekend. (Variety)

Though it lost steam over the past month, Warner Bros.’ Godzilla vs Kong has now become the second film since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to gross $100 million in North America, joining Paramount’s A Quiet Place Part II. (TheWrap)

The top movie overseas was Universal’s F9, which is approaching $300 million ahead of its domestic, U.K., Brazil and Mexico openings this coming week. (Deadline)
