Big Bang So-Long Crowd Grows to 23.4 Million, Sky Draws 3.8 Million U.K. Viewers to Game Of Thrones Finale

The Big Bang Theory’s 279th and final episode has aggregated an audience of 23.44 million viewers according to the just-released Nielsen Live+3 day ratings. That’s up from the average of 18 million people who watched the series finale episode of the history-making hit CBS comedy last Thursday night. (Deadline)

Meanwhile, British Game Of Thrones fans flocked to Sky on Monday to deliver the pay-TV service overnight viewing figures for the series finale that surpassed the record numbers set by the season opener last month. (Variety)

The episode scored 3.8 million viewers for Sky Atlantic in the U.K., split between viewers who watched or recorded the first airing, a 2 a.m. simulcast with HBO, and viewers tuning in to watch at 9 p.m. on Monday night. (Deadline)
