BBC Pays Damages to Former Royal Nanny over False Claims

The BBC said on Thursday it had agreed to pay “substantial damages” to the former nanny of Britain’s Prince William and Prince Harry over the broadcaster’s now much-criticized 1995 interview with their mother, the late Princess Diana. (Reuters)

Alexandra Pettifer, formerly known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke, appeared at London’s High Court Thursday for a public apology from the broadcaster over false claims that she had an affair with Prince Charles, while working as his personal assistant in 1995. (WaPo / AP)
