20th TV Vet Lisa Katz Tapped as NBC Drama Chief

The game of TV studio musical chairs continues with 20th TV vet Lisa Katz assuming the top drama development role at NBC. The announcement comes just two weeks after news broke that the Universal TV chief Bela Bajaria was out as head of the network’s sister studio. (THR)

Katz takes the reins of NBC’s drama development department from Pearlena Igbokwe, who was recently promoted to president of Universal Television Studios. Katz comes from 20th Century Fox TV where she most recently served as svp, drama development. Katz, along with 20th TV svp comedy development Dana Honor, are leaving the studio at the end of their current contracts in July after making the decision not to renew their deals several months ago.
