Young & Laramore Elevates New Creative Leadership

By Kyle O'Brien

Indianapolis independent agency Young & Laramore has promoted Trevor Williams and Bryan Judkins to executive creative directors. The two were formerly group creative directors and agency principals.

In their new roles, Judkins and Williams will take the reins of the creative department from Carolyn Hadlock, who is stepping away from the agency after 30 years.

“I’m thrilled for Bryan and Trevor to co-lead the department and set the bar for creative at the Y&L. They’ve done a tremendous job with our current clients, leading the day-to-day work,” said Hadlock in a statement.

Williams celebrated his 20th anniversary at Y&L this year and has worked on campaigns for Paddletek, Stanley Steemer, Farm Bureau Insurance and Brizo—the luxury brand of fixtures from The Delta Faucet Company that he and the Y&L team helped to create from scratch.

Judkins, who joined Y&L in 2005, has led campaigns for Steak ’n Shake, Trane, Hotel Tango Distillery, Louisville Slugger and Stanley Steemer.

“Bryan and Trevor will be focused on fostering the kind of creative environment that has enabled us to stay ahead of consumer consumption habits and the ever-changing media landscape,” said Tom Denari, president and CEO, Young & Laramore in a statement.

Y&L’s longtime executive creative director Hadlock is leaving to concentrate on producing the podcast The Beautiful Thinkers Project. Hadlock’s passion began five years with a blog and developed into a podcast where she interviews leaders, creators and visionaries across industries and disciplines to discover what makes beautiful thinking.

“In the years I’ve worked with Carolyn, I’ve seen what a prescient and creative force she’s been for Y&L. These same characteristics led to the creation of The Beautiful Thinkers Project at the agency and we support its current and future success,” said Denari.
