WPP creative commerce agency Geometry promoted Tyler Murray to a role as CEO, North America.

Murray replaces Scott McCallum in the role as part of a planned succession. McCallum is transitioning to a role as North American chairman. Murray will work closely with global CEO Beth Ann Kaminkow in the role.

“North America is a priority market for Geometry as well as WPP. We are focused on strengthening leadership and our offering to meet the needs of our U.S. clients who are focused on driving growth at speed. Tyler is the type of trusted advisor for leading this challenge with clients and for Geometry,” Ann Kaminkow said in a statement. “We make a great team going back to TracyLocke and I am excited to have him at the helm at this dynamic time reimagining the potential in Creative Commerce.”

Before that he spent over six years at TraceyLocke, most recently serving as chief strategy officer and global business lead for SC Johnson.

“Commerce has evolved into one of the most exciting arenas for brands and retailers. Today people can buy anything, anytime, anywhere. These new consumer expectations along with changes in technology, data, and media have all pushed commerce to become the next great canvas for creativity,” Murray said in a statement, adding that he feels “blessed to have the privilege to work alongside Beth Ann and the exceptionally talented folks at Geometry to continue to build the world’s preeminent end-to-end creative commerce agency.”
