WONGDOODY Uses Orange Is the New Black Withdrawal to Promote IGT’s DoubleDown Casino

WONGDOODY launched a new campaign for IGT’s DoubleDown Casino, promoting its new Orange is the New Black’ slot game with a series of 15-second spots. It’s the agency’s first work for the client since being named agency of record. 

The ads leverage between season Orange is the New Black withdrawal with a series of tongue-in-cheek references to the Netflix series and the obsessiveness of its fans. Each of the “Better Way” presents one way fans are getting their fix, ending with the message “There’s a Better Way to Get Your Orange is the New Black Fix.” The goofy approach is designed to appeal to exactly the kind of person who would play an Orange is the New Black slot game: seriously obsessive fans of the series. Humorous ways fans get their fixes in the spots include a pair of duct tape shower shoes, DIY eyeliner and orange nails.
