Just days before the holiday, Seattle based WONGDOODY has laid off an undetermined number of staff. We believe this figure to be low, in the half dozen area (unconfirmed), which marks the second round of layoffs for the agency in 2009. The first time around was June of this year, when around 17 (or 10%) of staff went home without jobs. An agency representative confirmed the news:
“WONGDOODY did complete a staff reduction yesterday,” writes the representative. “We are operating in an unprecedented economic environment that required us to make some extremely difficult decisions to ensure that the agency remains healthy and competitive over the long term. We are positioned to continue to perform to the high standards we set for our work and deliver the quality service that our clients expect.”
