Neal Arthur has been made managing director of Wieden + Kennedy New York. The planner replaces Buz Sawyer, whose last day at the agency was March 31, and who got the bash and roast of a lifetime for a going away party.
Sources familiar with the matter confirmed the move earlier today. The info was made public to employees, and such.
Update: The agency sent us a press release to confirm the news. Thanks guys. Arthur will partner with ECD Kevin Proudfoot. Arthur joined the shop in 2005 as director of strategic planning. Before that he was a senior brand strategist for Redscout’s brand and innovation consultancy.
