We’re hearing all sorts of things about BBDO today that have been repeated but not confirmed, save for the first.
— BBDO Atlanta reorganized this week in what has been referred to us as “a wash” meaning the people who were let go were replaced. Don’t you have to wait a month or something? This is confirmed; realignment.
— Chrysler is, and this is definitely unconfirmed, apparently going to dump BBDO. We’ll have to wait and see. The dirt is that since Fiat took over there have been rumblings of changes and that whoever wins the account will also take Fiat within 18 months following. A source of ours says Detroit folks have been sitting at their desks with nothing to do for awhile now.
— Atmosphere BBDO has also had some cuts. No idea how many or if it was due to inter office sex. But a source has linked the layoffs to the Citi Group team.
