We Are Rosie Names Tech Veteran Jeff Levick CEO

By Kyle O'Brien

Stephanie Nadi Olson has been the hard-working face of marketing talent platform We Are Rosie since she founded the company in 2018. Now that the company has grown to an integral presence in the industry and represents over 20,000 workers, Olson is handing the day-to-day operations over to Jeff Levick, who becomes the company’s new CEO.

Levick, a veteran of tech companies Spotify, AOL and Google, begins his new role today.

Olson will still remain active in the company, serving as executive chair of the board. She will step away from the day-to-day operations to lead the board of directors and continue to focus on driving We Are Rosie’s mission to change the future of work.

“I founded We Are Rosie with a vision for a better way to work that is more inclusive, thoughtful and diverse,” said Olson in a statement. “Pre-Covid, we were outliers. Today, we are mainstream. The company has grown beyond my wildest dreams, making this the right time to bring on a new CEO with vast experience in scaling rapidly-growing companies.”

We Are Rosie founder Stephanie Nadi Olson will become executive chair of the board at the company.

Nadi Olson went on to say that she has known Levick for over a decade and is confident he can lead the company while she focuses on the board and forecasting what is next for the company.

Levick was most recently COO of Redesign Health, a venture studio firm focused on health and wellness. Before that, he was the CEO of The Players’ Tribune, a media company founded by Derek Jeter that provides athletes with a platform to connect directly with their fans in their own words. He led the company’s acquisition by Minute Media in December 2019.

Levick served Spotify’s chief revenue officer from 2011 to 2016, leading the company’s commercial business and its global acceleration from one million subscribers to more than 40 million subscribers. He also grew Spotify’s physical footprint from 11 countries to over 60 markets worldwide. Prior to Spotify, he served as president of global advertising and strategy at AOL from 2009-2011. He also held various global roles at Google from 2001 to 2009.

“Throughout my career, I have sought out disruptive, early-stage companies, and helped them navigate their best path to growth,” said Levick in a statement, who met Nadi OIson when they worked together at AOL. “I am honored to take the CEO reins from Stephanie and join the We Are Rosie team in building a company that is making a difference in the marketing world, and in people’s lives.”

We Are Rosie partnered with private equity firm Align Capital Partners in December 2021 to gain access to the firm’s growth resources and capital to support clients. Since then, We Are Rosie has grown its network of freelancers—called Rosies—to more than 20,000 and added 28 full time employees to grow to a staff of over 50. It now works with more than 25 Fortune 500 brands and all six major advertising holding companies.
