Walton Isaacson Hires Deutsch Vet as Executive Creative Director

Walton Isaacson welcomed Jim DiPiazza as executive creative director.

Based out of the agency’s Los Angeles office, DiPiazza will oversee creative across Walton Isaacson’s offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas, reporting to Walton Isaacson co-founders Aaron Walton and Cory Isaacson

“We are delighted to have Jim on board,” Walton said in a statement. “Throughout his career he has focused on getting the message right and presenting it in the most entertaining way possible. That is a good fit with us as is his appreciation of our cross-discipline, cross-cultural ethos.”

“Jim loves mentoring creatives, competing for new business and exploring new channels, then combining them with old to get the message out to the right people at the right time,” Isaacson added. “He understands it’s not enough to be disruptive. The consumer needs to be engaged.”

DiPiazza arrives at Walton Isaacson following a stint as a freelance creative director and copywriter, working on Hyundai for Innocean and Coors, Starbucks and LG for 72andSunny. Before going freelance DiPiazza spent two years with the Los Angeles office of Deutsch as executive vice president, executive creative director, working with clients including Uber, Sprint, Glassdoor and Foster Farms. Prior to that he served as executive creative director for Lowe Campbell Ewald as executive creative director, working with brands such as Ghirardelli, LA Tourism, Kaiser Permanente, LifeLock and Energy Upgrade California, following a year in that role for Swirl.
