-GSD&M has welcomed  Neil Saunders and Michelle Dickens, formerly of Chiat LA/David&Goliath and Ogilvy West, respectively, has VP/planning directors. Saunders will lead planning for Goodyear, John Deere, new business and special assignments while Dickens will handle strategic efforts for GSD&M’s Walgreens biz.

-Director  James Gray has joined the roster of L.A.-based prodco Biscuit Filmworks for commercial representation.

-Cheil UK has appointed Chris Kazakeos as head of retail production, a position that calls for the exec to lead in-store efforts for all clients including Samsung.

-McCann Copenhagen is capitalizing on the fact that a recent UN survey has named Denmark “the happiest country in the world” by greeting visitors with thousands of “happy flags” for Coca-Cola (above).

-In case you missed it, Digitas beat out the likes of Leo Burnett and Energy BBDO in a recent “Chicago Advertising Agency Battle of the Bands,” an event thrown to benefit the Off the Street Club. link
