The Sky is Blue, Earth is Round and W+K Tops Another Award Show

By Kiran Aditham

W+K’s quest for an award show sweep (well, save for the Clios perhaps) continues as the agency’s Portland and Amsterdam offices both picked up the Art Directors Club’s top honor, the ADC Black Cube, for Best in Show in Interactive and Advertising, respectively. Do we really need to tell you what the respective offices won for (if so, here’s one clue and another)? As if W+K needed any more industry lathering, the agency added an exclamation point to the evening by taking home ADC Agency of the Year honors and as we mentioned before, three Gold Cubes (two for Nike) and an ADC Hybrid for Old Spice.

Other winners included:

ADC Network of the Year: Young & Rubicam (second year in a row)
ADC Interactive Agency of the Year: BBH, New York, NY, USA
ADC Design Team of the Year: The New York Times Magazine, New York, NY USA (second year in a row)
ADC School of the Year: School of Visual Arts, New York, NY, USA (second year in a row)

Once again, you can check out the full list here.
