Team Mazda Asks an Age-Old Question

It’s a new dawn, new day, but same mantra when it comes to Team Mazda’s new campaign for the automaker, which asks the question, “What do you drive?” We can’t help but be reminded of Swingers when hearing the tagline, but it’s nonetheless the basis of this new Mazda marketing effort, which really doesn’t distinguish itself from other automotive ads in recent memory. Yes, the Doner-created “zoom-zoom” is still intact, but it seems it only serves as a whispered afterthought–though the Mazda camp maintains that it’s still the brand’s “rallying cry.” Guess the trip back to Cali was all worth it, eh Harvey? Anyhow, the “Drive” campaign will run over the next year and also includes interactive ads and, yes, a social media component.
