So, What’s New at Ammirati?

By Kiran Aditham

Last we heard from Ammirati, the New York-based agency succeeded Mother as AOR for Brooklyn’s Cumberland Packing Corp, perhaps best known as the makers of Sweet ‘N Low. Now, after a couple of months of hearing crickets chirping, a tip came in regarding a few of its staffers including account director Rob Douglas and creative director Eric Rojas. After a quick LinkedIn search, it does appear that the tip checks out, though the way it’s worded could lead one to believe that it was perhaps written by Douglas himself. Take a gander:

“Former Ammirati account leader Rob Douglas has joined Findr Group ( as the VP, Client Services overseeing account service and clients.  Findr is a collective of 3 independent full-service communications companies providing advertising creative, media planning & buying, digital and PR for multicultural and general markets.  Clients include Caesar’s Entertainment, DISH Network, U.S. Army, IDT Communications, among others.

Douglas had a short, futile stint at Ammirati running the Powerade business as The Coca-Cola Company moved the business to W+K without review.  Ammirati retains some project work with Coca-Cola despite losing Creative Directors Eric Rojas to Euro RSCG and Adrian Hilton to BET Network. Prior to Ammirati, Douglas has been with Ogilvy, Y&R/Brandbuzz and Y&R.”

W+K Portland did in fact launch an effort for Powerade called “The Dance” during March Madness this year. As for Hilton, he still lists himself as a freelance creative. No word on the BET move just yet.
