Semi-Sexting Alert Causes Microsoft to Edit Kin Ad

By Matt Van Hoven

In the commercial above you will see hipsters dancing about, singing songs, and of course socializing via their mobile devices. This is real life. But it’s when a man snaps a pic of his chest that things got scary for Consumer Reports, which recommended Microsoft remove the ad (or, at least the sexty portion) for fear it would promote sexting among teens. So Microsoft did that, though they seem to have missed the one above. That portion is still in it.

Also interesting: AnimalNewYork noticed that one of the actors in the ad is actually Rosa Salazar, an actress who starred in two CollegeHumor parodies about sexting.
