While we’re on the topic of agency re-branding today, we thought we’d let you know that Saint-Jacques Vallée MEC is now going by the more concise, palatable name, MEC Montreal. One of the main reasons for the change is to strengthen the WPP/Group M media agency’s ties to MEC Canada, which is of course part of the MEC North American network that just picked up global media buying/planning AOR duties for Marriott.
MEC Montreal, which will be led by VP/GM Sylvie La Salle, counts clients including Molson Coors, Colgate Palmolive and Loto Quebec and is behind the launch of a new digital monitoring tool called SOCIA. Says La Salle in a statement, “We are extremely confident the MEC offering is right for our clients and the marketplace. Launching MEC Montreal signals a new era in the further development of our business here.”
