Revolving Door Roundup Roster Updates: AKQA, Ogilvy, M&C Saatchi & More

The revolving door keeps spinning, with more agency appointments kicking off 2023.

Adams & Knight

Connecticut agency Adams & Knight continues to grow its team with the addition of five new hires. Michelle Bonner joins as director of public relations; Malcom Little joins as a media account manager; Karishma Pinto was recently hired as a senior marketing program manager; Carson Bloomquist joins as a creative producer overseeing the agency’s video projects; and Tess Myers is the agency’s new program manager.

Adm Group

Adm Group made two senior appointments to support its continued growth. Justin Barton was selected as executive chairman and Ed Colflesh as global CEO. 

Affinity Creative Group

Northern California creative brand design and digital marketing firm Affinity Creative Group has appointed Ari Rollnick as CEO, with ownership stake in the agency. Ari Rollnick is the founder of kabookaboo, a digital-first marketing agency based in Miami.

AKQA

AKQA hired Shu Hung as its new executive creative director in Los Angeles. As an industry expert in creative direction, editing and design, Hung will lead the agency’s creative team alongside managing partner Jabari Hearn and North American president Tesa Aragones

Altus Marketing

Alex Edwards was hired as senior vice president of client development at Altus Marketing. Edwards will support the company’s growth in the food bank, rescue mission and regional nonprofit divisions.

B+A

Bethany Cranfield was appointed as global head of growth at global research and strategy partner B+A. Cranfield will lead the agency’s growth department and work with clients like Spotify, Clinique, Nike, Lego, Converse and Right to Dream. 

Backbone

Backbone hired Martin Mudry as its first-ever ecommerce director. Mudry will lead the firm’s entrance into marketplace marketing on key third-party ecommerce platforms, including Amazon and Walmart.

Bliss Group

Marketing communications agency The Bliss Group has appointed Ken Kerrigan as senior vice president and co-leader of the firm’s professional services practice group. He will share responsibility with Keri Toomey for spearheading public relations and communications programs for professional services clients.

CourtAvenue

Digital transformation agency CourtAvenue has hired Julie Koepsell as head of clients. Formally with Horizontal Digital as the president, digital, North America, Koepsell will guide CourtAvenue’s business innovation team and work closely with clients to support their digital acceleration initiatives.

Cut+Run

Cut+Run welcomed Kamila Daurenova to its roster of video editors. Daurenova, based in New York, is now available for Cut+Run collaborations both nationally and internationally.

Finn Partners

Celia Jones was promoted from global director of marketing communications to global chief marketing officer at Finn Partners. The promotion comes after two years of double-digit growth for the agency.

Good-Loop

Good-Loop, which converts ad engagement into donations to good causes, promoted Julia Hitchman from head of brand and agency partnerships to chief commercial officer. Hitchman will drive global revenue growth and continue to oversee the development and execution of the platform’s commercial strategy.

Havas Creative

Havas Creative has made three key appointments to its senior leadership team to further expand its global capabilities and to boost integrated, cross-market growth. Global CMO Tracey Barber has been promoted to global chief transformation and growth officer; managing partner, global brands Tamara Greene is promoted to managing director, global brands—both new roles. Former MRM svp, director of global communications Jocelyn Weiss has been appointed global chief communications officer. The moves represent the first major leadership appointments by Havas Creative Global CEO Donna Murphy since she was promoted to the role in July 2022.

Hudson Rouge

Hudson Rouge hired Lara O’Shea as chief strategy officer. O’Shea will lead strategy for existing and new clients, while also accelerating the agency’s transformation and growth.

M&C Saatchi

M&C Saatchi London appointed two new teams following a series of new business wins in 2022. Alex Lucas and Jon Farley joined as senior creatives, coming from Saatchi & Saatchi. Holly Sutton-Williams and Dan Lacey as joined as senior creatives, coming from roles at Colenso BBDO Auckland and Adam & Eve DDB.

Madhive

Modern TV advertising technology company, Madhive, hired Kristin Wnuk as its senior vice president of sales. A former Roku and Hulu executive, Wnuk will build on the company’s success powering streaming campaigns for localized broadcasters and advertisers, while also providing an entry point for national brands and adtech companies to utilize Madhive’s technology.

Ogilvy U.K.

Matt Foster was appointed as the director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Ogilvy U.K. Foster will work with global and EMEA DEI leads across the advertising, consulting, experience, health and public relations departments, reporting to EMEA chief people officer Elaine Grell

Power Digital

Power Digital, a tech-enabled growth marketing firm has named Michael Murray chief product officer to spearhead the innovation and productization of nova, Power Digital’s proprietary technology that analyzes a company’s digital ecosystem using multiple first-party data sources to build informed and custom marketing plans.

PR Council

PR Council named its 2023 officers and new board members. Ellen Ryan Mardiks, chairman at Golin, was named chair of the board of directors, with other board members including Diana Littman, CEO at MSL U.S., as vice chair, Brandon Wilson, president and CEO at Wilbron, as treasurer and Julie Colehour, partner at C+C, as secretary. The board members include Valarie de la Garza, CEO at Fenton, Tiffany Guarnaccia, CEO and founder at Kite Hill PR, Brooke Hovey, global president at BCW and Bob Osmond, president at Racepoint Global.

The-Artery

Executive director Nick Haynes is joining the roster at The-Artery’s NYC studio. The new addition continues to solidify The-Artery’s status as a creative powerhouse, with talent in production, post, VFX, color, VR and sound design.

Yonder Media

Yonder Media made two new hires to bolster its team and support agency growth. Adam Boucid was hired as AV director and Chen Cui was hired as planning director.
