Apparently Brooklyn’s ecosystem is in shambles because hipsters from Williamsburg to wherever are being treated badly (though we’re sure many of you wouldn’t be against such a thing). Anyhow, there’s a movement that’s been started as a result to Save the Hipsters and with it is this video, which begs for our pity and cash minus the help of Sally Struthers.
Apparently, our hipsters need financial assistance in this slightly amusing campaign (where are those trust funds, folks?) that seems to have sprung from the minds of those rapscallions at Funny or Die. The idea is that if you choose to adopt a hipster (costs only $500 minimum according to this clip), you get a Polaroid and a personal note (har har) but as Gothamist recommends, it’s best not to actually dial the number that’s given unless phone sex is your thing.
