Ogilvy & Shakira’s World Cup Tune Reaches 80 Million Views on YouTube

Shakira’s “Waka Waka” World Cup tune has Ogilvy & Mather boasting. Why? Because according to the agency, the video could be on its way to being the most-viewed YouTube clip ever, tallying up 80 million hits and counting since its release just before the tournament started. Yeah, we have to admit, the video, which is the brainchild of Shakira and Ogilvy ECD Antonio Navas, has a beat to it. It took a weekend shoot in LA with DNA Films director Marcus Raboy to pull the whole thing off, and in addition to the jam, O+M’s Navas and his partner, Ricardo Leme Lopes, (l-r below) also designed the T-Shirt, logos and merchandising for the Official FIFA World Cup song.

Now that the event’s finally coming to an end, can the songstress bust out a LeBron jam for the fall?
