12. Garrigan Lyman – Interactive Art Director, Seattle, WA

“Let’s talk about that word “interactive” for a second. At Garrigan Lyman, it’s not just a medium or a channel or a category for our work. It’s the hammer. It’s the nail. It’s the ruler. It’s practically our favorite subject for metaphorical imagery. But it’s also how we see the world, where it’s going, and how we’re going to get there.

What does this mean to you? It means we want someone with a ton of online creative experience: sites, banners, film, video, anything that you’ve brought to life on the Web. It also means you need to be an interactive person in every sense of the word. At Garrigan Lyman, our art directors are very hands-on. We work with clients in a range of industries—T-Mobile, Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, and WaMu—so we want someone with insights into how their businesses work and how their customers think. You’ll have a key role in helping mentor and develop design staff on our creative team, all while seizing the opportunity to do the best work you’ve ever done.

We’re looking for candidates with 5 to 8 years of broad creative experience supported by a specific focus on interactive projects. Since this is an interactive position, we would expect to review your portfolio online. If this sounds like a move you’re ready to make, read the complete job description posted on our site. To apply, send your resume and a link to your portfolio to people@glg.com.”
