Nielsen President Departs, Stays to Help Transition

By Matt Van Hoven

In our third C-level-shuffling story of the day comes word that Nielsen Business Media President Greg Farrar is leaving. Nielsen owns a number of media entities, including AdWeek up until January 1 when the company was sold to e5 Global Media.

A Nielsen spokesperson explained Farrar’s departure in a statement emailed to FolioMag: “Having managed the trade show business through the economic downturn while also divesting some of the publications, Greg feels he has accomplished his goals at Nielsen and decided it is the right time to seek greater opportunities.”
