Mother London Helps Dell, MTV Form World’s Most Annoying Biggest Choir

Mother London along with the Sweet Shop’s digital offshoot The Rumpus Room have launched Amplichoir, a campaign for Dell and MTV which is basically comprised of a massive singalong of The Chordettes’ “Lollipop”.

We would’ve gone with “Bohemian Rhapsody” but ah well. The focus of the campaign–besides forming a chorus bigger than The Polyphonic Spree–is to upload/share your own rendition of the tune via webcam and mic to the Amplichoir site, which will then be judged by voters. The two top vote-getters in turn will nab a pair of tix to the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin happening on November 5th. Hey, a trip to Berlin easily beats a drunken night of karaoke in the East Village in our book.
