Mother and Stella ‘Give Beautifully’ for the Holidays

By Patrick Coffee

Mother and client Stella Artois released a series of spots this week that put a light twist on the sentimental holiday classic: real-life stories starring real-life people!

The campaign, which will roll out over the globe in the coming weeks, centers on a series of short films illustrating truly unexpected gifts in an effort to showcase “loss and redemption, love and community, timeless romance and artistic beauty.”

Here’s the first film, “Lights,” which coincidentally stars the owner of a Christmas tree farm:

In the second film, your crew heads south to deliver a bit of the frosty powder to Buenos Aires:

This one, from Maeve in London and Claude Debussy, tells the story of a music fan deprived of her beloved piano:

Finally, friends of Nashville filmmaker Rachel collaborate on a team giving effort:

The campaign itself was a team effort: Mother’s New York and London creatives worked on it together.

Here’s the TV spot, which explains that the Stella brand began life as “a gift to the people of Leuven, Belgium”:

The campaign will run throughout the holiday season in ten countries and will feature the special bottle you just witnessed in addition to retail gift packs and more.

The Mother Global Creative Partner and Stella Artois Global Creative Director Gustavo Sousa writes that the creative team “turned the film into a gift, by carefully curating props with great emotional value to the people involved,” adding that it was “an incredible journey to the heart for all of us.”
