Monday Stir

By Kyle O'Brien

-It was nice of the NFL to arrange an exciting football game to go with the ad show yesterday. One of the spots seen only by folks in Texas was from supermarket H-E-B. The grocer managed to get country star George Strait and poke a little bit of fun at citizen space travel at the same time.

In the spot, we see mission control preparing for a rocket launch. As the countdown starts, viewers hear from the captain of the mission saying that the capsule is missing supplies. A vehicle speeds towards the launch pad and delivers a bag of food to the capsule, which contains a guitar-playing Strait, who apparently can’t live without his H-E-B snacks. The spot was made by independent agency Plot Twist.
