McCann Central Adds GCD Jon Elsom

McCann Central has hired Jon Elsom in the role of group creative director, Campaign reports. He will report to group executive director Vince McSweeney.

Elsom arrives at the agency from Bray Leino, where he served as executive creative director for the past three years. Prior to joining Bray Leino, Elsom spent six years as a creative director with DLKW Lowe, followed by a year sabbatical to write fiction and work as a freelance copywriter. Before joining DLKW Lowe, he served for eight years as a senior copywriter with Delaney Fletcher Bozell. That followed a stint as a creative group head with McCann Erickson London after making the leap from a copywriting position with Mellors Reay & Partners.

In addition to Elsom, McCann Central also added senior art director Rod Henriques, art director Mark Dudley and senior copywriter Florian Schneider.

“Adding Jon, Flo, Rod and Mark to the team brings more impressive experience and internationally recognised creative talent to a team that we’re extremely proud of,” McSweeney told Campaign. “We know there is so much more we are yet to achieve and these new appointments will help us push forward with the award-winning work we are already delivering for clients.”
