Sources familiar with the matter confirm that the seven-year relationship between M&C Saatchi and the New Mexico Tourism Department has come to an end as the account has now gone into review and despite being invited to it, the agency won’t defend. According to our sources, an RFP has gone out to a dozen or so agencies, but most are based in New Mexico as it appears that the Tourism Dept. is looking to go local with its AOR.
