Marketers Likely to Ensure that Serena Williams Will Get Through This

By Kiran Aditham

Most of you have probably already seen the tirade that got Serena Williams kicked out of the U.S. Open by now (Look above if not). But AdAge reports that despite her verbal barrage, marketers are unlikely to abandon ship and sink her $12 million or so in yearly endorsements.

The tennis star nor her foot faults are apparently not in danger of losing sponsors like Nike, Gatorade, HP, Kraft Foods…need we go on. We’re just wondering how baby mama Kim Clijsters will fare as well as David (Juan Martin Del Potro) who beat Goliath (Roger Federer) in the coming weeks.
