Leo Burnett has named Liz Taylor its co-president and chief operating officer of the Chicago office. In the newly created role, Taylor’s remit is to optimize business operations and reinforce the agency’s creative reputation. She will be co-president with Britt Nolan, co-president and chief creative officer, and will report to Andrew Swinand, CEO of Leo Burnett Group.

“Liz has an exceptional track record of leading and inspiring creativity across her entire career ,” said Swinand in a statement. “Her leadership is driven by a passionate belief in the power of creativity and kindness which makes her a formidable leader and valuable addition to the Leo Burnett team.”

During her tenure, she spearheaded advertising campaigns for Apple across Europe, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East. Taylor also held the position of executive director of the global iPhone business, further showcasing her strategic expertise.

Her client roster has included Delta Air Lines, Verizon Wireless, Comcast and Hallmark. “I’m honored to join this legendary agency and work alongside the award-winning talent and celebrated brands that make up Leo Burnett today,” said Taylor in a statement. “I look forward to helping shape the agency’s future.”

Leo Burnett Chicago has had plenty of recent growth, with a streak of over a dozen new business wins, including Jim Beam, Dunkin’ and Tillamook.

“Leo Burnett has experienced massive success over the past year, but we can never be satisfied,” said Nolan in a statement. “I’m thrilled to bring in a partner who shares our belief in the power of creativity and our audacious aspirations for the agency.”
