Leadership Changes Afoot at Juxt

By Kiran Aditham

Well, it sure appears that way judging from the LinkedIn profiles and tweets from the core leadership at Newport Beach/San Francisco-based Juxt Interactive. According to sources, “experience marketing” agency George P. Johnson, which acquired Juxt nearly four years ago, has cleaned some house at the latter, cutting founder/ECD Todd Purgason, CMO Josh Mooney and director of production services Kristen Myers (who has already updated her LinkedIn that pretty much tells us her time at Juxt has ended).

Purgason (pictured), whose LinkedIn title now actually reads “EX Executive Creative Director” sent these tweets out over the last couple of days:

And here’s a tweet from Mooney:

Calls to Juxt have not been answered (literally, no one picked up the phone yesterday) but we’ve also reached out to George P. Johnson for official word on the matter. A tipster, meanwhile, sent us a note following the apparent cuts which reads, “Staff is confused and has no idea why that happened or what to do.  George P. Johnson is coming to the agency to talk to the employees.” Purgason founded Juxt 14 years ago and has subsequently led creative for clients ranging from Boost Mobile to PacSun to Scion. We’ll keep you posted if and when we find out more.
