K-Swiss Expands Agency Relationships

Kenny Powers’ favorite shoe brand, K-Swiss, is adding to its agency roster by appointing Los Angeles-based Mile 9 as its AOR for all 2011 running, triathlon and tennis category initiatives. No worries about 72andSunny, as it’s still handling training category initiatives for Van Nuys, CA-based K-Swiss and is rolling out what we’ve been told are “big summer campaigns.”

As for Mile 9, which was awarded the account without a formal review, the shop will handle all creative and media responsibilities under the K•Swiss performance umbrella specific to the three aforementioned categories. The L.A. outfit had been working with the brand on a project basis since 2009 and most recently executed K-Swiss’s sponsorship of the Honda LA Marathon in March 2011.
