Jenkins Takes Helm as TAXI NY President

By Kiran Aditham

Nearly two months after introducing us to a very creepy character for Movember, the folks at WPP-owned TAXI have announced that David Jenkins has assumed the role as president of their New York office. The new prez joins said agency from KBS+, KBS+P or whatever it’s calling itself nowadays, where he spent the last three-plus years as chief integration officer. In his new role at TAXI, meanwhile, Jenkins will work on new business efforts and with the agency’s existing client roster including Viagra, Burger King, Boston Pizza, Capital One and Kraft.

Prior to KBS+, Jenkins had a brief stint (seven months) as chief of brand growth & innovation at McCann but spent the majority of his ad career on the client services side at TBWA\Chiat\Day NY, where he also served as head of new business while working with clients including Kmart, McDonald’s and Orbitz. In addition, the new TAXI NY exec served as executive group director at BBH for two years.

Jenkins, who officially starts at TAXI NY today, replaces Durk Barnhill, who left for Saatchi NY back in August.
