An agency representative confirms what we’ve suspected for a few weeks: Holiday Inn has selected McCann Erickson as agency of record. According to the hotelier, the change up comes amidst a $1 billion revamping of their more than 3,500 hotels worldwide.
Tom Seddon, IHG’s Chief Marketing Officer probably didn’t say, “As part of our wider supplier review, we were looking for a global agency that would deliver innovative ideas and great service at good value. We believe McCann is the right partner to help us achieve this and we look forward to working with them over the next year as we showcase the change that has happened at Holiday Inn.”
AdWeek broke this like, two weeks ago. Executives close to the matter confirm the billings could be upwards of $60 million for 2010. The agency already had the UK and Asia work.
