Here’s a Quick Update on That Kia Pitch

Yesterday, we reported that Kia is on the hunt for a new shop to handle its website/web development, etc., and now we’ve got somewhat of a clearer picture thanks to a reliable source. First, there’s a reason why Ignited’s status in the pitch was iffy–the agency’s not in the mix to begin with, according to those in the know. Second, our guess was right in that Kia’s search for the proper shop is ongoing.

From what we’re hearing from our sources, Meredith Xcelerated Marketing was indeed in the running, but has been knocked out of contention, leaving only two finalists left: Santa Monica’s Blitz and Chicago-based VivaKi agency, Denuo. Kia still has yet to respond to our inquiries, but we’ve touched base with the reported final pair. We’ll keep you posted.
