-David&Goliath introduced “Sir Lucky Pants” in a new California Lottery spot.

-Cuneo Advertising of Minneapolis went viral this week with a blooper reel from its campaign promoting White Bear Mitsubishi in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

-In a Campaign op-ed, Nancy Hill of the 4A’s writes that it’s time to speak up about sexism and racism. We feel like that conversation definitely occurred last year, but she has a point.

-On that note, the ANA also wants to encourage more diversity with its new #SeeHer award for people who challenge gender stereotypes, which went to actress Viola Davis in 2016. What about the ad industry, though?

-“Guerrilla marketing pioneer” Floyd Hayes created “ad score stickers” that let you rate ads from 1 to 5. We know which number our readers would prefer.

-A bunch of media executives told Digiday how they go through the dreaded January detox. Maybe just don’t drink?
