Foxwoods Won’t Be Outdone by Mohegan Sun

While Mohegan Sun continues to sully 80s hits with farces like “My Mohegan,” rival Connecticut casino Foxwoods is taking the more traditional route by looking for a new voice from the “MTV generation” to refresh its “The Wonder of it All” jingle. Along with tapping social networks like Facebook as well as implementing print, outdoor, TV ads and what not, Foxwoods has launched its dedicated Be the Wonder web destination.

Here, you can upload your take on the casino’s theme and vote for your favorite versions. According to the release, a panel of Foxwoods executives will review the top 50 online vote recipients and choose 10 musicians to perform before a panel of celebrity judges on February 27. In addition, the winner will receive a year-long promotional contract and a $25,000 grand prize package, including music equipment, a Foxwoods VIP Package, studio time, an advertising schedule and more. Someone surely can top a parody of The Knack’s “My Sherona.”
