FCB has a new president up north.

The agency hired Publicis veteran Bryan Kane as president of FCB Canada, effective September 3. In the role, Kane will be tasked with overseeing operations for FCB Toronto, FCB Montreal and FuelContent.

“The opportunity to work with a powerhouse leadership team like this is awesome. The collective ambition to deliver truly meaningful work from everyone in the agency combined with the strategic might to fuel it is what sets this agency apart,” Kane said. “My priority is to help support the teams in order to continue the incredible momentum they have built over the last five years and keep the track record of creative excellence alive.”

Kane joins FCB after announcing his departure from Publicis, where he has spent the entirety of his career, earlier this summer. Most recently, he spent the past five years as managing director of Publicis Toronto. During his over 20 years with Publicis Canada, he also built up the digital offering from the ground up to a team of over 175 as managing director and has served in a variety of account executive and brand planner roles.

“Bryan is a fearless leader who built his career growing clients and agency capabilities,” Tyler Turnbull, Group CEO of FCB Canada and New York said in a statement. “He’s smart, energetic and passionate about brands and knows how to bring the right people together to build great teams. I have no doubts that Bryan will be invaluable to our clients and employees as we continue our momentum in 2019 and beyond.”
