Doner L.A. Boosts Strategy Department with Pair of Senior Hires

Doner L.A. welcomed two senior additions to its strategy department with the appointments of Beth Hooper as senior vice president, strategy and planning and Adam Fischbach as director of experience design, effective immediately. Both Hooper and Fischbach will report to executive vice president, managing director Zihla Salinas

A 20-year Leo Burnett veteran, Hooper joins Doner L.A. from Leo Burnett Chicago, where she has spent the past decade as vice president, strategic planning director, working on accounts such as Samsung Global Digital Appliances, Esurance, Delta Faucet Company, DeVry University, Walgreens and Kellogg’s Snacks Division. She originally joined Leo Burnett in 1996 as a marketing research associate/associate strategic planner, working on accounts including NYSE, Morgan Stanley Dean Witte, Smuckers and Mrs. Smith’s Desserts before receiving a promotion to strategic planner two years later. After three years as a strategic planner, working on accounts such as Pillsbury, Green Giant, Old El Paso and Phlip Morris, she was named senior strategic planner in 2001. After four years in that position working with clients including Procter & Gamble, Crayola, Hallmark and Maytag/Jenn-Air, she was named vice president, senior strategic planner in 2005. 

Fischbach arrives at the agency from RED Interactive in Los Angeles, where he served as lead user experience designer. Over the course of his career, he has worked on UX design for brands including Volkswagen, Taco Bell, Ferrari, Sprint, Edmunds, Microsoft, ESPN, A&E and Red Bull.

The appointments mark the latest in a series of moves for the agency. Just this month, Doner L.A. added a trio of account and production hires, while parting ways with executive creative director Steve Silver, who left to go freelance. Last month the agency added five creative positions to its team.
