Doner Adds a Pair of Senior-Level Hires to Its Integrated Strategy Group

Doner added a pair of leaders to its integrated strategy group with the arrivals of senior vice president, social strategist Jeremy Olson and vice president, director of data strategy and analytics Joe Kantor. Both Olson and Kantor will work out of the agency’s Detroit headquarters and report to executive vice president, executive director of integrated strategy Matt MacDonell.

“The ecosystem that connects brands to consumers – and consumers to consumers – is becoming more vast and varied than ever,” MacDonell said in a statement. “Our view of strategy needs to be equally expansive. That was the impetus to create the integrated group that Joe and Jeremy are joining. We’re excited about what they bring to the table.”

Olson joins Doner from Leo Burnett Chicago, where he served as senior vice president, social innovation for the past two years, overseeing a team of twenty and leading social media globally for the agency’s Samsung and Allstate accounts. He originally joined Leo Burnett Chicago’s office as an analyst back in 2002, focusing on database management and analytics on the agency’s Marlboro account following two years as a database associate with Nielsen. Olson spent a year in the position before switching to Leo Burnett Germany in Frankfurt, where he served as a senior analyst for two years. After that he joined Leo Burnett London as a manager, launching branded Marlboro websites in Russia and Spain. He returned to Leo Burnett Chicago as an account supervisor the following year, received a promotion to account director two years later and became vice president, global account director two years after that.

Kantor joins the agency from media agency Carat, where he served as associate director, data and analytics for the past two years. Prior to joining Carat he spent nearly a year and a half as assistant general manager, marketing manager for the Chicago extension of taxi app Hailo. Before that he spent two years leading targeted media buying as an ad exchange specialist with Centro. Prior to that he served stints as a media associate with Starcom MediaVest and a new media coordinator with John G. Shedd Aquarium.
