Definition 6 Acquires PR Firm that “Really Understands” Integrated Marketing

By Kiran Aditham

Those are the words of Definition 6’s CEO Michael Kogon, whose Atlanta-based interactive marketing agency acquired PR firm Leach Communications yesterday.

The transaction closes on January 8th and Kogon says that Def 6, which acquired rich media outfit Creative Bubble in August, now has 100+ employees to build out its in-house PR practice. “Leach really understands integrated marketing,” he tells us. “They were a first mover in blending public relations with interactive marketing and Web solutions. Public relations is one of the few services areas we haven’t supported in the past. The acquisition of Leach–a proven, New York City-based public relations firm–gives us this expanded capability.”

With the acquisition, Leach president Al Leach will lead the new National Public Relations practice for Definition 6 and operate out of Definition 6’s New York City offices. The major staff shift as a result is that 100% of Leach Communications’ staff will be retained as Definition 6 team members.
